Terms and Conditions of trade
• All supply only products need to be paid for in full before any goods leave the premises of Kiddell Kitchens Ltd.
• Deposits are non-refundable once works have commenced.
• All final balances on work are due within 5 days of completion of works. Late payment will result in 10% added for every 30 days payment is delayed, this is 10% of the outstanding balance.
• On completion of a kitchen the customer or representative of the customer needs to inspect all works undertaken and make the Kiddell Kitchens operative on site aware. Any issues will then be dealt with as soon as possible by Kiddell Kitchens Ltd. Any issues raised after the day of completion will be dealt with under warranty once the final balance has been settled.
• Existing flooring. Kiddell Kitchens Ltd cannot be held responsible for a new kitchen not covering the original kitchens footprint in existing flooring. In the event of this happens Kiddell Kitchens Ltd will offer advice and services to overcome this. In the event of more services and labour used this will be chargeable to the customer.
• Warranty (goods not manufactured by Kiddell Kitchens Ltd). All goods not manufactured by Kiddell Kitchens Ltd will have a warranty with the manufacturer. In the event of one of these products failing the customer will need to contact the manufacturer and give them the opportunity to repair their product. Kiddell Kitchens Ltd are happy to assist, but any labour or material costs will be passed on to the customers if Kiddell Kitchens Ltd are not at fault.
• Warranty (goods/services supplied/produced by Kiddell Kitchens Ltd). Kiddell kitchens offers 1 year warranty on all labour. Kiddell kitchens Ltd offers a fair use warranty on all its produced products. Meaning if a product has not been misused and the product is still available, we will warranty the product. General wear and tear will be considered on all warranty claims. Kiddell Kitchens cannot be held responsible if a warranty claim is made and the product in question is no longer available.
• Warranties are void in the event of water, heat damage or the misuse of products. All products should be maintained in accordance with manufacturers guide lines. Kiddell Kitchens are happy to offer advice of such guidelines on request. Doors and worksurfaces should only be cleaned with soapy water, as some detergents can cause staining and damage products.
• In the event of a warranty claim in which Kiddell Kitchens Ltd are instructed to change damaged products, labour and materials used may be chargeable to the customer.
• Start Dates. If a customer’s property is not ready for the agreed start date Kiddell Kitchens Ltd will re-allocate a fitting slot. This slot will be the next available slot in Kiddell Kitchens Ltd’s diary. Although Kiddell Kitchens Ltd will try to accommodate such changes to suit the customers new schedule we cannot be held responsible if we cannot work to the new schedule. Any costs or loss of earnings may be chargeable to the customer.
• Completion Date. Kiddell Kitchens will always give an estimate of the time needed to complete works. Unfortunately, unforeseen circumstances can result in works over running their estimated time scales. Kiddell Kitchens Ltd will keep customers posted of such over runs and will do all they can to complete tasks within the agreed time frame but cannot be held accountable for such over runs.
• As for the reasons above a start date of works may be delayed if such circumstances have delayed the previous works. All though Kiddell Kitchens Ltd will do all it can to keep to start and finish dates, customers will be informed of such changes. Kiddell Kitchens Ltd cannot be held responsible for such changes.
• Illness/Breakdown. Kiddell Kitchens Ltd cannot be held responsible for delays in work due to employee illness or machine breakdown. In such an event, customers will be made aware of such problems that may cause delays to works.
• Extra Costs. On occasions unforeseen circumstances may result in extra work needing to be completed. Although Kiddell Kitchens Ltd will try and overcome such circumstances within the time frame and agreed costs, this is not always possible and in such events the customer will be notified of such circumstances and how this may affect the time scale and budget of works. Work carried out not originally budgeted will be chargeable to the customer.
• Delays in works. In the event of Kiddell Kitchens Ltd not being able to complete works due to waiting for works to be completed by a third party contracted directly to the customer or representative of the customer, any costs incurred to Kiddell Kitchens Ltd will be passed on to the customer.
• Product exchange. In rare circumstances some products may be discontinued or not available in time for works to commence. In such an event Kiddell Kitchens Ltd cannot be held responsible for not being able to obtain goods out of their control. Kiddell Kitchens Ltd reserve the right to exchange like for like products or upgrade products to complete works on time. In extreme circumstances customers will be notified and given options.
• Changes to Plan. In rare occasions it may be necessary for Kiddell Kitchens Ltd to alter unit combinations after starting of works. This would only be done on occasions where an unforeseen circumstance occurs. An example of this would be unexpected water mains where a dishwasher is going. Kiddell kitchens Ltd reserve the right to adjust unit combination which are not going to deter from the overall appearance of the kitchen. In the event of significant changes to the plan, customers will be notified of such events and given options.
• Customer changes to works. Any changes made to works after commencing may result in the customer being charged costs. Customer will be made aware of such charges and must agree to charges before changes can be made. In severe cases some changes may result in waiting for goods to be ordered in or manufactured. In such events the works schedule may have to be altered, and in some cases may need re scheduling in Kiddell Kitchens Ltd’s diary, the next available slot.
• Products. Although Kiddell Kitchens Ltd will offer advice on products it sells, it is down to the customer to research specifications, colours and finishes. Kiddell Kitchens Ltd cannot be held responsible for a product not reaching the customers’ expectations.
• Once your order is placed and the deposit is paid, no alterations can be made as the items are made-to-order.
• Customers must ensure suitable access for delivery and sufficient storage space is cleared beforehand.
• Our delivery service includes one person, so you will need to provide assistance to help offload.
• Any shortages and/or damage must be reported to us within 3 days via email, including a description of the damage, item number/code, and photographs.
